SHINee

SHINee (pronounced as Shiny) is a contemporary boy band formed by SM Entertainment in 2008. It consists of five members namely Onew, Key, Minho, Taemin and Jonghyun. They debuted around May 2008 with their promotional single entitled “Replay”. The group is also considered as a fashion icon. They started the so-called “Shinee Trend”.

SHINee’s Leader Onew is the oldest of the group. His stage name “Onew” means soft and caring, which reflects his kind and leader-like personality and attitude. It also gave way to his nickname “Dubu”, which means tofu in Korean. His voice is soft and mellow, which puts him as a great vocalist for SHINee.

Bling Bling Jonghyun is SHINee’s lead vocal. His nickname “Bling Bling” means that he shines, and with his fantastic voice, it’s no wonder he does. Jonghyun is the second oldest and despite his cool appearance, he can be quite emotional and shy. His personality is suitable of AB blood types, and is known to be very goofy and offbeat.

Recently, he has certainly broken out of his shell and his personality has begun to emerge as an outspoken and confident character.

Maknae Taemin is SHINee’s youngest member. Although he is very young, Taemin is bursting with talent and is SHINee’s best dancer. He was known for his mushroom/bowl haircut and has charmed all the noonas with his cute antics and charming ways. Taemin’s vocals have greatly improved over the years, and his dancing never fails to impress all.
